Ylanna's Extra Butterfly is a beautiful children’s book detailing family, love, and celebrating the EXTRA special differences in all of us, from the perspective of a family with a loved one with special needs. Our mission is to bring more awareness and help celebrate those who are born Extra special.
Meet Ylanna! She was born with Trisomy, a genome anomaly where there are three copies of a chromosome on her 23rd paired chromosome. Though she faces many unique challenges in society, she possesses an intensity and courage that is unmatched by many, and her generous, benevolent spirit makes her a magnet of kindness & support. This book is inspired by her and the EXTRA special community of people with disabilities and developmental delays that we love.
